July 19—25, 2026
For more than 30 years, ABMP has focused on diversity and inclusion during our annual Massage Is for EveryBody Week, and throughout the entire year. ABMP once again invites you to join us by bringing the benefits of massage to all communities.
Consider how you can get involved:
- Look for opportunities to partner with others in your community to share the benefits of massage and bodywork with those who need it most.
- Volunteer, donate, raise money, start a campaign, or find your own creative way to give. • Use this week to celebrate the impact of your work and the difference you make in the world.
Be Inspired
Take inspiration from ABMP members who created special ways to bring touch to their communities:
- For every 60-minute massage booked [during Massage Week], 15 minutes were donated to someone in need. (Amy, Ohio)
- Every client [during Massage Week] received a 60-minute gift certificate to give to someone else who would benefit from a bodywork session. Advertising the promotion in advance filled her schedule! (Cath, Colorado)
- Ask others to nominate a person doing good work—a volunteer, advocate, tireless worker, friend, shoulder to cry on—to receive a free massage. (Megan, New York)
The 5 Guiding Principles behind ABMP's Massage Is for EveryBody Mission
These are the whys behind the mission:
1. Serve as advocates for the proven physical and emotional benefits of massage and bodywork.
2. Honor the healing role practitioners play in our communities.
3. Bring massage and bodywork to underserved populations.
4. Uphold the professionalism, ethics, and standards that build trust in massage and bodywork.
5. Spread awareness of massage and bodywork as viable career options for a new generation.
