Booking Repeat Business Toolkit

A Checklist to Help You Schedule Repeat Client Visits

  1. After each and every session, take a minute (yes, just 60 seconds will do the trick!) to ask your client if he or she would like to schedule another massage.

Looking for another way to do this easily? Use ABMP's appointment reminder labels. Place a label on the back of your business card or on a copy of your most recent newsletter. Voila! An easy reminder for your client.
  2. Refer to the great marketing tips offered in ABMP's Successful Practice Handbook. Or, for a quick review of articles that will help you build repeat business, try these:
  3. Become your clients' wellness consultant by continually educating them about the benefits of massage with ABMP's customizable client brochures. Use titles such as "Why Should I Receive a Massage?" "The Benefits of Frequent Massage," "What to Expect During a Massage or Bodywork Session," and others to help educate your existing and potential clients about the role massage can play in their quality of life.
  4. Offer to send your clients reminder emails when it is time for the next appointment. Whether a client wants weekly, monthly, or quarterly appointments, help them remember!
  5. Include relevant information on your website—phone number, email address, hours, services, benefits of bodywork, coupons, and frequent client offers—that will incite clients to book and rebook appointments. Create your professional website in just a few minutes with ABMP's free website builder.
  6. Offer to send your clients reminder emails when it is time for the next appointment. Whether a client wants weekly, monthly, or quarterly appointments, help them remember! Set up a professional email account to connect with your clients and give them one more way to reach you.
  7. Give coupons for a client's next visit. Include coupons in the appointment reminder emails and client newsletter, too.
  8. Offer frequent visitor discounts. Use ABMP's downloadable client rewards cards.
  9. Remind clients that you offer gift certificates. Include a sign somewhere in your office, waiting area, or bathroom: "Looking for that perfect present? Gift certificates are available!" Download gift certificates for a variety of occasions, including birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, season's greetings, thank you, congratulations, and more.
  10. Send out a hand-written thank you postcards to each new client. Be sure each client knows that you look forward to seeing and helping them again. Print client postcards.
